RE: Easy Lube Wheels

The "two pump" technique will only work after the entire inside area of the hub is full. If you've never done this before you must pump grease until it starts coming out around the zerk. I would think this would take quite a lot of grease initially. I have the easy lube hubs but still take them off once a year for hand packing. Unlike some others, I do think you could use the easy lube hubs successfully if careful.

RE: wireless Home Network in RV

Jeff, I re-read his post and I think he is talking about something like wireless broadband coverage. I'm using AT&T, a USB wireless card, and a Cradlepoint router. I've been very happy with the speed, even the slower Edge is OK. 3G is a rocket. Try the 3G store for wireless items....they're really good folks to work with. At $60.00 per month unlimited (grandfathered before 5G limit) it's pretty expensive but I just figure it is part of the cost of doing business. Lynn - WA5KLB

RE: Plasma vs. LCD televisions

Wayne, I think you've got it backwards....LCD is more positional sensitive than Plasma. At any rate, the Plasma (57" Panasonic) I have in the house is pretty heavy, but what a beautiful picture! LCD would be the way to go in a mobile rig....IMHO.

RE: Has anyone ever ran Uniroyal Laredo LR "E"

They came standard on my '06 Hitchhiker. Still on there and doing fine. I had a bearing failure coming back from RVG and had to go for 100 miles on one tire on one side. Very stressful but the single tire held up, and the trailer was really loaded. Hope this helps.

RE: Tulsa, OK Expo Center camping

We camped there last year for the National Dog Agility Championships. Not bad, but go for the pull throughs on the North end. The back-ins are pretty tight, and depending upon who is across the street from you, came be pretty tricky to back into. Also, back ins do not allow enough room for you to park your TV. They have a seperate area on the South side for parking. Plenty of room for rig and TV in pullthroughs. Folks working the desk were real nice and allowed me to move when I found it impossible to back in. As there are no events taking place, I would see if they would let you cruise around to find a place. As far as eating, head south to the interstate for all of the usual places. Good luck.

RE: No need annual brake check & wheel bearing mtce?

As one who has suffered catastrophic bearing failure, I would recommend checking out everything, bearings and brakes, right now. After this you could probably get by with a longer interval. The reason I'm saying this, is because on my rig, the original manufacturer (Lippert), had used the minimal grease on the bearings causing the failure of one of them during the first year. I've personally checked and re-packed all of the bearings and adjusted the brakes. I now have confidence that they were done right. Good luck.

RE: Reese Hitch - Movement / Play

I have the 16K Reese and have noticed that if you adjust the brake unit so that the trailer stops a little harder then the vehicle you will not have the clunk when accelerating. It is slightly irritating but I don't think it is dangerous or anything.

Not rare at all. Here is Nuwa's website. Look into the HH LS, Model 29.5LKTG.

RE: Harpers Ferry, WV KOA

Was there this last spring. Not as bad as some folks are reporting. We enjoyed it. I stayed in 69. Moved there from the "larger" sites at the entrance. Rained....no mud at 69. Didn't like those.....no trees. You will like 69. Trees and pretty level. Nice office and nice staff. Enjoy....

RE: Reese 5th Wheel hitch Problem

I've got the same one...had it about 5 years w/no problem. Does the handle pullout easily before hooking up? Are you hooking up properly? Handle should be IN before hooking up and should go out then back in when properly hooked. You might be trying to hook up with the handle OUT which is incorrect. You might be "high hitching." Also, unhooking can be difficult if you don't take the pressure off of it. There are several posts here that describe how to release the pressure by slightly backing up before pulling handle. Go to Reese website for full instructions on operation of this hitch. Do it right = no problems. Good luck.

RE: Picking up after your pets!!

Funny....I was over on the Disboard (Disney FW) and some of those folks are right down rabid over pets. I pointed out that it might be beneficial to have your eyes focused on the ground (looking for dog poop) while walking so to see any possible snakes, gators, etc. They didn't think that was too funny. The mention of snakes started a whole new thread. If you even think about walking your pet outside of a designated "pet loop" you might get screamed at or worse.

RE: Can’t share a Sprint Aircard via Internet Connection Sharing

Just purchased a Cradlepoint router from 3g Store. Sierra Wireless 881U on AT&T. Works beautifully! Give the 3G store a call, they are good people.

RE: dog droppings

Another "Dog Poop" thread. People lurking with cameras, threatening to dump poop on folks door steps, etc., pitiful. What about other sources of "poop", i.e. racoon, possum, skunks, birds, etc? Loud drunks, unruly kids, inconsiderate campers, etc., bother me much more. Yes, I pick up my dogs poop...always.

RE: West Virginia

You can "kill two birds with one stone" here. Try the KOA in Harpers Ferry. Lots of interesting history and you can take a side trip to Gettysburg. The new visitors center at Gettysburg is fantastic.

RE: Why people can't afford to travel this year.

Gotta agree. I hate whiners. If you can't afford it then get out or step down. I don't want to hear about it.....

RE: Linksys WRT54G3G-AT & AC875

Unfortunately I'm pretty much stuck.... Thanks again. I'll keep working with 3G guys for a resolution. I really want to do this as I have big plans for saving money, i.e. Vonage, cancelling DSL, etc. I want to make my $60.00 per month unlimited data plan worthwhile. I guess I could take the big leap and buy a new one off of ebay and hope to recoup the price. SIM card will transfer to most any device..... Lynn

RE: Linksys WRT54G3G-AT & AC875

Good news Alex, I didn't realize you were with 3G store. I've been working with Torrey. No resolution yet and I've been messing with it all afternoon. I looked at profiles on "Watcher" program. There are two, one is automatic and the other is manual connect. The automatic profile is as follows: Profile name: AT&T Username: ISPDA@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 APN: isp.cingular connection type: Autoconnect PDP Type: IP MCC/MNC: 310410 So I tried "Custom" on parameters and entered the above info. Still no good. I guess we'll have to try another unit? Thanks again.
